Early Life
On June 30, 1966, Mike Tyson was born in Brownsville, Brooklyn, New York, the third of three children, the other two being Rodney and Denise (who died in 1990).
For years, Michael believed that he was the son of a man named Jimmy Kirkpatrick, even though Purcell Tyson is listed on his birth certificate as his father.
Before Michael was born, Kirkpatrick had left a wife and son to move in with Lana Mae Tyson.
